When it comes to passion, Carlye Winfrey is full of it. Her parents told her if she was going to do something, she should do it fully and completely. To her, that means being excited about what you want out of life, no matter what it is.

The Texas Tech faithful know the end of any athletic event or commencement ceremony will involve the singing of the alma mater. In just the third line of the Matador Song, the choir of novices sings, “Bear our banners, far and wide.” This spirit of adventure is ingrained in the Red Raider spirit, and it is something to be celebrated within the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
“I love to travel. I love Texas, but I want to help in other countries like Africa, I really want to be active in wildlife habitat restoration on an international level.”
Hotel Turkey, a historical icon in Turkey, Texas, built in 1927, was a place Pat and Tina Carson regularly drove by and wished they could buy and restore. When the owner, a friend of the Carsons, offered to sell it to them, their wish came true.
